A Lead worker at Tabor House applied to buy some essential furniture for RB’s flat that he moved to from the night shelter:
"I applied for money from Change into Action for R, who had been on the street for a number of years and then stayed at Tabor House for six months. He had secured a permanent job whilst he was at Tabor House and was then ready to move into his own place.
The furniture – bed, sofa, blinds and items for the kitchen, meant that R had the best transition he could have into independent living. It meant that he could manage his finances in those initial months and set himself up for the future. Six months on, he is happy living in his flat."
Tabor House applied to Change into Action for money to buy essential furniture items for R for his flat so that he had what he needed in those initial months to get himself settled again.
