Change into Action supporting individuals to access the support they need.

A Lead Worker at Tabor House applied to pay for RS’ deposit and first month’s rent for his flat that he moved to from the night shelter:

“I applied for money from Change into Action for RS, who had been on the street for a considerable amount of time and then stayed at Tabor House for five months. He had secured a permanent job whilst he was at Tabor House and was then ready to move into his own place.

The deposit and first month’s rent gave RS a crucial bit of breathing space. When he moved out of Tabor House he had been working for a couple of months. It meant he could manage his transition to independent living and save some of his wages to pay for subsequent rent. He has been in his flat for six months now and is looking forward.”

Tabor House applied to Change into Action for money to pay for the deposit and first month’s rent for RS for his flat so that RS had what he needed in those initial months to get himself settled again.
